A THUG tried to wrestle a baby from a woman having attacked her daughter.

Paul Kenna, 26, turned on Catherine Calder, who was holding a child's car seat in which a five-month-old girl was sitting.

Catherine had come to the aid of her daughter Elizabeth after she had been assaulted for 20 minutes by Kenna at a flat in Glasgow's Barlanark on September 15 2019.

The women were taking items out of the property when Kenna appeared.

Prosecutor Laura Bradley said: "He caught up with them and took hold of the car seat with the girl inside and attempted to pull it from Catherine’s grasp.

"During the altercation, he was also punching and slapping Elizabeth on the head.”

Kenna - who had been drinking while watching boxing - then attacked Joseph McDonald with a car key when he became concerned about the child's safety.
