A PERVERT snared with nearly six hours of indecent videos of children has been jailed for 20 months.

Alexander Cuthbertson, 49, was caught with a total of 1899 photos and video clips at the flat in Glasgow’s Lambhill.

Cuthbertson also created fake social media accounts to communicate with kids between March 2007 and January, last year.

Cuthbertson, posing as a girl, repeatedly asked for naked pictures of victims as young as 13.

He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to taking or permit to be taken indecent images of kids.

Cuthbert also admitted distributing images and sending written sexual communication to children.

As well as jailing him, Sheriff Joseph Platt put Cuthbertson on the sex offenders register for 10 years at today/yesterday’s sentencing.

The court heard police raided the property in the city’s Skirsa Street seizing two iPhones and a desktop computer.

A total of 1899 indecent pictures and videos were recovered.

Prosecutor Amy Hunter told the court that the videos collected played for five hours and 51 minutes.

Cuthbertson – using the name Lucy – created bogus social network accounts.

He communicated with at least three underage teenagers on Snapchat and requested naked images from them.

It was also revealed Cuthbertson sent images of children through Snapchat and Kik Messenger to a user named ‘MysteryPerson81’.

David Kinloch, defending, told the court Cuthbertson experienced issues in his local area due to his sexuality and stated that he “was upset and knows these are serious matters”.
