We might be biased, but we're sure Glasgow's restaurants are among the finest in the world. Don't just take our word for it, ask Michelin, who finally restored our star after nearly 20 years

We know you'll be spoiled for choice when the day finally comes, so to help you decide where to enjoy that first taste of freedom we've put together a list of the 10 best restaurants in the city, according to Tripadvisor. 

Note: We've only featured venues with more than 500 reviews for a better sample size and list is accurate as of March 3, 2021.  

10. Qua, Merchant City 

Glasgow Times:

The number one Italian in the city, according to Tripadvisor, the Ingram Street restaurant boasts a 4.5 rating from more than 2300 reviews. 

9. The Fish People Cafe, South Side

8. Fanny Trollopes, West End

It was only a matter of time before Finnieston appeared on Tripadvisor's list and Fanny Tropllopes - described as " a friendly, atmospheric and busy neighbourhood bistro" - kicks things off for in style

7. Ox and Finch, West End

Sticking with Finnieston and up next is the Ox and Finch. With a mention in this year's Michelin Guide, need we say more? 

6. Saint Judes, city centre 

Glasgow Times:

"Wonderful", "Amazing", "Lovely" are just some of the adjectives used by reviewers to describe the Bath Street restaurant. 

5. Number 16, West End 

Glasgow Times:

With a 4.5 star rating from more than 2250 reviews, this Byres Road staple has a little something for everyone. 

4. Roastit Bubbly Jocks, West End

Described by one reviewer as "excellent", it's safe to say Roastit Bubbly Jocks - also boasting 4.5 stars - is among the best our city has to offer. 

3. Dakota Bar & Grill

Things are heating up now as we enter the top 3 and we begin with the Dakota - not the one out near Airdrie but the real Dakota on West Regent Street. Five out of five stars, according to Tripadvisor. 

2. Obsession Of India, Merchant City

Narrowly missing out on top spot is Obsession of India, voted the bet Indian restaurant in town by online users. Delicious. 

1. Mini Grill Glasgow Steakhouse, City centre 

Glasgow Times:

And coming in at number one on Tripadvisor's rankings is the Mini Grill Glasgow Steakhouse on Bath Street.

With a five star rating, reviews including frequent uses of the word "incredible", and a spot on Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice list, it's a worthy winner.
