A CELTIC legend has claimed the Gallagher brothers wsahed Sir Alex Ferguson's car.

Brian "Choccy" McClair also said that Noel and Liam were partial to Penguin biscuits which he rewarded them with for giving his own motor a clean.

In the days the pair could stand the sight of each other, they had a small gig valeting cars at Manchester United's old training ground, The Cliff, and at Platt Lane.

McClair, who spent 11 years at Manchester United after his success at Parkhead, said on his Life With Brian: The Brian McClair Podcast: "Liam and Noel were part of a car cleaning company that was owned by a lad who came from the same part of Manchester as them.

“They were all big City fans and they managed to persuade Alex Ferguson to allow them to come to the Cliff to clean the cars.

“Noel had a penchant for Penguin biscuits with his coffee if he ever came round to the house to valet the cars there. I don’t recall Noel ever saying anything other than thanks for his coffee and Penguin biscuits.”

The retired forward added that he was given an early Oasis demo tape.

He said: "It was good but at no point did you have any idea of the mark they were going to make on music and culture of the time.”
