MORE than one third of people over 16 living under the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board have received a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
Figures released by Public Health Scotland show 34.4% – or 339,012 people – had been vaccinated by Thursday (March 4).
There had been 23,400 (6.9%) second doses administered.
Within the Glasgow City Council boundaries, 159,906 people have been given a vaccine. This is 30% of the over-16 population.
Second doses have been given to 6%, with 11,281 people getting both jags.
Across Scotland, another 29,064 first doses were reported on Thursday.
In total, 1,717,672 people or 37.8% of the population have been vaccinated once, with 108,197 (2.4%) getting the second jag.
