A GENEROUS supply of PPE has been donated to the Sikh Food Bank in Glasgow to help them to continue providing much-needed support.
CGI, an IT and business consulting service, made donations of plastic face visors, disposable gloves and hand sanitiser to the service's 50-strong team of volunteers.
The donation will allow them to continue supplying more than 10,000 meals to people in need across the city.
Lindsay McGranaghan, Vice-President, Business Unit Lead Scotland at CGI, said: “Everyone at CGI Scotland has been full of admiration for the dedication of Charandeep Singh, for which he received a Pride of Scotland award, and all the volunteers of the Sikh Food Bank.
“They have been real heroes, coming to the aid thousands of people and families not only in Glasgow but across the central belt of Scotland. We very much hope that this donation of PPE allows them to continue their amazing work safely and securely.”
Charandeep Singh said: “Everyone at the Sikh Food Bank is delighted and very appreciative of this donation from CGI, which will help protect us as we continue to deliver much-needed food and support to those in desperate need during lockdown. CGI is a shining example of businesses stepping up to play their part in helping communities across Scotland through this crisis."
