A GLASGOW woman will hope to enjoy a taste of success in a BBC cooking competition tonight.
Katy Tan will face off against four amateur cooks in the long-running TV series MasterChef.
The 26-year-old production manager, originally from Fife, is one of 40 foodies to make it into the heats.
She will be tasked with cooking her signature dish for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace, who will give two of the contestants a spot in the next round.
The remaining three will have to pull out all the stops as they cook off, not only for an apron but also their place in the competition, in a new test – The Favourite Ingredient Challenge.
In the end, one chef will be sent home.
Watch on BBC One at 9pm.
