Former Celtic boss Tony Mowbray has had a cheeky dig at Rangers following their Scottish Premiership title triumph.

The Light Blues were crowned champions yesterday after Celtic failed to defeat Dundee United at Tannadice.

Rangers ended Celtic's domestic dominence this season and halted the Hoops' 10-in-a-row bid. 

Tony Mowbray commented on Gers' title success saying: "Celtic have been hurting for a while. They've seen it has been coming.

"It is never nice. The Rangers fans have suffered for nine years of Celtic supporters and the trophies they have lifted. All of those amazing trophies.

"Scott Brown must have sore arms lifting all those trophies for the past nine years.

"The tables have turned for this season. Rangers can enjoy it for a few weeks and then when it starts again that is the competition.

"The fans have to take it on the chin at this moment. They will react and they will be passionate as ever about their club.

"The people in the power at Celtic have to make the right choice for their head coach and get everything behind the scenes back in place so that the challenge next year isn't a 20 point deficit."
