A TEENAGER denies trying to murder two men by stabbing them.

Jordan Moore, 19, is accused of repeatedly striking Kieran Lynch on the body with a knife and kicking him on the head and attempting to murder him.

He is also charged with attempting to murder Dylan Cooper by repeatedly striking him on the body with a knife.

Moore appeared at the High Court in Glasgow via a video link.

The offences are alleged to have taken place at the A804 roadway at Charing Cross and at the junction of Newton Street and North Street, Glasgow, on July 20, 2020.

Moore, who is represented by defence counsel Lorraine Glancy, denies all the charges against him and has lodge a special defence of self defence.

Ms Glancy said: “We are in a position to proceed to trial, but no date for the trial has been identified.”

Co-accused Paige Nolan, 19, from Glasgow, is charged with having a knife in her possession and attempting to pervert the course of justice by cleaning and disposing of a bloodstained knife.

She denies the charges. Her defence counsel Dale Hughes said: “The trial is expected to last five days.”

Judge Lord Fairley continued the case to a further preliminary hearing on May 20.
