A Glasgow SPT employee has been condemned by bosses for "offensive tweets".
The staff member has been reported to HR amid alleged breaches to the SPT's Code of Conduct.
The Glasgow Times understands some of the "sectarian" statements made crude references to Walter Smith.
Rangers confirmed yesterday that the former manager was in hospital recovering from an operation.

It is believed inflammatory tweets about Fernando Ricksen were also made from the account of the worker.
A statement from Glasgow Subway reads: "We are aware of offensive tweets expressed by an employee. SPT utterly condemns all racist, homophobic & sectarian views.
"All staff are aware of our social media guidance, as part of our Code of Conduct.
"This matter has been reported to HR & due process will now be followed."
