Nicola Sturgeon will give details tomorrow of when the re-opening of shopping, hospitality and the further relaxing of meeting other people will take place.

The First Minister said that she would set out dates for further relaxation for April and May.

She said the statement would include the end of stay at home, re-opening of shopping, re-opening outdoor first, then indoor hospitality and further details on relaxing rules on meeting other households.

Sturgeon said: "Things should start to get better in the weeks and months ahead.

But she added: "I need to streess, we can't throw caution to the wind."

She added: "I will seek to set out detials of changes in early April, around the 5th, then further in late April and then, in less detail, beyond that.

"We will try to provide as much clarity now as possible."

The latest statistics showed there were 456 new positive cases recorded in the last 24 hours. Of the total 138 were in Greater Glasgow and Clyde area.

There were 447 people in hospital with covid -19 down by 14 and there were 40 patients in intensive care, no change.

There were no deaths registered. There were 10 deaths since Friday taking the total to 7510
