TWO cars were deliberately set on fire in Airdrie in the early hours of Monday morning.

Detectives believe that the incidents are not linked, and are appealing for information.

The first incident took place at around 2am on March 15, where a Volvo car was set on fire on Cambridge Crescent, Airdrie.

The fire then spread to a second car, an Audi TT, before the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and extinguished both vehicles.

Both suspects are described as men and were wearing grey tracksuits.

A second fire then took place at around 2.30am on the same date, where an Audi Q3 car was set alight on Ballochnie Drive, Airdrie.
