TWO men have been arrested and charged in connection with a string of housebreaking incident across Scotland.
Homes in Glasgow, Airdrie, and Cumbernauld - both North Lanarkshire - are alleged to have been targeted between February 12 and March 9.
Properties in Edinburgh and Rosyth, Fife, were also involved.
Officers have confirmed a 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incidents. He was due to appear in Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
Another man, 22, has been reported to the procurator fiscal.
Detectives probing the alleged crimes are now appealing for information on a car, which was spotted near the homes across Scotland.
They are asking anyone who saw a metallic electric blue Vauxhall Insignia VXR with a black grill and oversized alloy wheels to get in touch.
Detective inspector Kevin Tait , of Edinburgh Division CID, said: "This has been an extensive investigation involving colleagues from across Police Scotland and I am grateful to everyone who has assisted our enquiries to date.
"These enquiries remain ongoing and we are particularly keen to identify and trace a car which has been reportedly used across a number of these incidents.
"This vehicle is described as being a metallic electric blue Vauxhall Insignia VXR with a black grill and oversized alloy wheels."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101.
