A DRUNK lout who verbally abused a worker at Boots and spat at a police officer has been jailed for 12 months.
Gordon Cochrane, 54, called the female customer services advisor a "s*** and a slapper" at the branch in Central Station on December 12. He was later arrested by police.

Prosecutor Hannah Terrance said: "As security officer Mark Connelly left his cell, Cochrane charged towards him and spat at him."
He pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and the assault on the officer.
Lawyer Aafia Majid, defending, told the court the dad-of-two was drunk at the time and doesn't fully recollect the incident.
