A BALLOON release has been planned in memory of a dad who was allegedly murdered in Easterhouse.

Friends and family are to come together on Sunday to pay tribute to Kamil Charyszyn after he lost his life on Conisborough Road last week.

It's alleged the father-of-two and stepfather-of-one was stabbed in the street and a man has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Now, mourners are to gather on the grass at the top of Balfluig Street to show "how much the community loved" Kamil.

A Facebook event page reads: "Please show support in coming together with social distancing to show Kamil's kids and family how much the community loved him.

Human rights lawyer Aamer Anwar backed the fund and identified Kamil as a Celtic fan.

He said: "I hope all decent people come together to help them through this horrific time."

A 22-year-old man was arrested yesterday in connection with the alleged murder of Kamil.

The balloon release is due to take place at 2pm.
