There were 43 areas in the city where the number of new cases was between zero and two – meaning the virus was considered suppressed during that period.

These included some where the rate has been the lowest for several weeks.

North Kelvin and Sighthill have both been in the “suppressed” category for nine out of the past 10 weeks, going back to January 22.

Victoria Park in the west of the city has been “suppressed” for eight of the past 10 weeks.

Anniesland East has been in the lowest category for seven out of the past eight weeks going back to February 5, Partick for seven out of eight weeks, and Shawlands West for six out of seven weeks.

Carnwadric East and Kelvingrove and University have been in the lowest category for the past five weeks, along with Muirend and Old Cathcart and Dowanhill for four of the past five weeks.

There were another four areas where the rate was below 50 per 100,000.

These were City Centre East at 28 per 100,000 with three new cases, Finnieston and Kelvinhaugh at 38 per 100,000 with four new cases, Ruchill at 40.5 and three new cases and Govan and Linthouse with 49.5 per 100,000 and three new cases.

There were 31 areas between 51 and 99 cases per 100,000.

These included at the lower end Pollok North and East, Newlands, Mosspark and Battlefield, all below 60 per 100,000.

At the higher end was Robroyston/Millerston, Crookston North, Garrowhill West, Darnley East, Kingspark North and Cowlairs/Port Dundas, all higher than 90 per 100,000.
