A SUSPECT has appeared in court on Tuesday charged with the attempted murder of a man in Glasgow.
Matthew Rooney, 65, allegedly assaulted the man near a Burger King in the city centre's Renfield Street last night.
He was also charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life.
The two men were allegedly taken to hospital for their injuries.
Rooney made no plea at a short private hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court.
He was represented at court by his lawyer Paul Langan.
Rooney, who appeared from custody, was granted bail meantime by Sheriff Ian Miller pending further examination.
