A GLASGOW business has scooped a best new salon award just one year after opening in the city's West End at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
Mesart, who opened in Great Western Road last March, won the prize at the ceremony which celebrates the best in British and Irish hairdressing. The event was hosted by comedian Russell Kane with stringent protocols in place.

Stuart Whitelaw, founder of Mesart Hair, said: “We are overjoyed to have been recognised at the Creative Head Awards for Best New Salon. We were judged on the sustainability and unique design of our salon and it is a true honour to win!
This has undoubtedly been the most challenging year of my career to date, but now we are just looking forward to getting our clients and team back into the salons to do what we do best.”
Mesart will be opening both their Uddingston and Great Western Road salons on April 5 having received over 1500 bookings in the first 48 hours of opening their diaries.
