HUNDREDS of shoppers have spent their Easter Monday queueing outside Ikea at Braehead as the phased re-opening of non-essential retail gets underway.
The Swedish furniture giant welcomed a steady stream of customers throughout the day.
Staff at the store reported that people could expect a wait of up to half an hour, operating on a one out, one in basis with barriers in place to maintain social distancing.
It is understood that lines snaked throughout the outlet's vast car park earlier today.
While Ikea's famous restaurant is closed, punters can still enjoy hot dogs, coffee and ice cream cones at their bistro.

The store closes at 8pm.
Queues were also spotted at the nearby Dobbies Garden Centre with people inside waiting in a line of up to one hundred people that extended through the entire store.
The re-opening comes as part of the Scottish Government's easing of lockdown restrictions which means homeware stores, garden centres, barbers and hairdressers can now re-open with precautions in place.
Other non-essential retailers and hospitality will re-open on April 26.
