I HAVE, many times, mentioned funeral workers at every level together with all who have had no choice but to continue vital works during Covid (‘Our work is unrecognised but vital’: Inside a funeral home dealing with a year of coronavirus, Tuesday).

Well done to all of you. You are certainly not unrecognised but thanked profusely by very many.

I DO agree with Alan Rough, not because of allegiances to Celtic, but because, in this case, I believe he’s absolutely right (Ex-Celtic goalie blasts ‘arrogant’ Rangers over Covid sinner Nathan Patterson backing, Glasgow Times online).

I have given both Rangers and Steven Gerrard credit for what they’ve achieved this season.

Their team was miles ahead of everyone else and Gerrard’s comments have always been measured and, I would say, humble, but he has disappointed me with his comments on Patterson.

Gerrard seems to suggest he should be treated differently from everyone else simply because he’s a really good right-back. Eh?

Stevie, James Tavernier is out and you need Patterson. Fair enough, but, come on.

I very much doubt that missing four games is going to be a seminal point in his development.

It might actually be the making of him.

Gerrard: Must do better.

WE have so many sprawling open spaces in Glasgow. (Homes on site of former school destroyed by fire given green light, Tuesday).

Why has it taken so long to build on the former school site?

WHEN are people going to wake up to the fact that nothing is free (Glasgow student calling for extension to free bike scheme that benefits thousands across city, Tuesday).

Someone has to pay for it!
