THE biggest ever B&M store in Glasgow is to open its doors FIVE days early to shoppers.

Excited punters will be able to enjoy a host of bargains at the firm's new 29,600 sq ft Govan shop from 9am on Saturday.

The Helen Street branch was originally due to open next Thursday (April 15) and replaces B&M's store just yards away, which recently closed.

A spokesman said: “Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready and we’re ahead of schedule, we can’t wait to get the doors open this weekend.”

The branch's staff have also invited the team from Glasgow SW Foodbank along for some "VIP treatment" at the opening, as the charity officially unveils the new store.

Glasgow SW Foodbank, supported by the Trussell Trust, provides three-day
nutritionally balanced emergency food and support for individuals and families in the city's south west.

In addition to opening the store, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.

The spokesman said: "Glasgow SW Foodbank really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, and continue to do.

"We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
