POLICE have promised to ramp up patrols in a bid to catch flytippers in North Lanarkshire.

Officers say they will be out on Bellshill's Hattonrigg Road and Carnbroe Road following a recent spate of crime in the area.

They say there is "no excuse for this" and have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
