VOTING is now open for our Times Talent competition.

From singers, dancer, artists, ice skaters and musicians, Glasgow has certainly shown that the city has talent.

With 70 entries to choose from, readers will have a hard time deciding who they think deserves to win Times Talent and walk away with the £1000.

Over the past fortnight, we have been showcasing some of the acts taking part in the competition.

We first met ice-skating extraordinaire Abbie Conaghan, 8 from Coatbridge.

We have also had a few siblings go head-to-head for the £1000 prize.

Freya and Robbie Kerr are competing against each other for the bragging rights in the Kerr household.

Mini DJ, Callum Spence, 11, and his singing sensation sister, Lucy, aged 10, will also be pitted against each other, as well as brother and sister duo Olivia and Connor Layden making sure there is fierce sibling rivalry.

We have also seen singers and dancers come out in force to throw their hat in the ring, including rapping grandad Joe McMonagle, who entered Times Talent to wind his grandkids up.

Hayley Mcgill and her singing partner, Jodie Montgomery, are vying for the £1000 with their soulful performance.

Ian Devine entered Times Talent with his talent of guitar-playing, something which he picked up from his dad and has passed down to his daughter also.

Dancers such as freestyler Somer Mcginlay and ballet dancer Lucy McLean have set their marker down for the £1000.

The talent hasn’t been up to just the singers and dancers to show off.

Artists have also come out to show off their skills, such as papercraft artist Marianne Troy.

Charlotte Toll also entered with her water colour and acrylic artwork.

We’ve also had our oldest contestant, Alexander Robertson, who, at the age of 77, showed off his knack for poetry performance to Glasgow Times’ readers.

We will continue to feature more acts later in the week to help you make the difficult decision of choosing our winner.

To vote for your favourite act, simply cut out the coupon which can be found in today's Glasgow Times, and fill it out with the act’s name, reference number and your own details.

Post your coupon to Newsquest Media Group, Glasgow Times Talent Competition, Glasgow East Investment Park, 125 Fullerton Drive, Glasgow, G32 8FG.

First round voting will close again on Monday, April 19 at 10am.
