PLANS to turn a slimming clinic into a hot food takeaway in Glasgow's Shawlands have been refused by city planners.
The proposal, which also included the installation of flue liner to an existing chimney, concerned a property on 177 Kilmarnock Road which was also previously an estate agents.
City planners refused the application and said it was not considered to be in accordance with the development plan.
The refusal notice also said that the proposal would result in an increase in noise, activity and cooking fumes which would have an unacceptable impact on the residential amenity of neighbouring properties.
Finally, city planners also cited that inadequate information had been provided of the specifications of the ventilation system in their refusal notice this week.
The applicant may request a review of the decision within three months of the refusal notice date.
