A FORMER betting shop will be turned into a hot food takeaway in North Glasgow.
City planners have given the go-ahead for the new eatery on 1399 Maryhill Road.
The unit in the city's Maryhill once housed a bookies and is currently vacant.
City planners approved the plans subject to conditions including restricted opening hours. The premises will be allowed to operate from 9 am to 11 pm daily.
No details were provided within the planning application to Glasgow City Council on the type of cuisine the new hot food takeaway will offer.
The decision was made on April 12.
