REMADE Network, social enterprise focusing on repairs and digital inclusion, has opened its first store front in Govanhill.
The store opened on Thursday April 15 at 421 Victoria Road.
Remade Network will offer affordable repairs to electronics such as mobile phones and laptops, as well as distributing computers to vulnerable groups across Glasgow.
The opening of the brand new shop also coincided with their 1000th handout of a device, which was given to fellow Victoria Road business, Milk Cafe, to be handed onto refugee groups in the local area.
Lauren Hooper, project lead at Remade Network, said: "Thanks to the support of the local community, the project has outgrown its small space at Govanhill Baths, and we’re delighted to expand to Victoria Road, expanding our staff team from 6 to 10 in the process.”
