A MAN is in hospital after being attacked by a gang of nine hooded thugs.
The group, who were donned in dark clothing, pounced on the victim late on Friday evening.
A 999 response was called to the scene on Bridgeburn Drive in Moodiesburn, Lanarkshire after reports were received of the incident.

The 33-year-old victim was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where medical staff treated him for injuries to his arms and head.
The gang fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Detective Constable Lyndsay McKinnon of Coatbridge Police Station said: "Our inquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have been in the area around that time to come forward.
"I would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage.
"Anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 4522 of 23 April, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
