GLASGOW is getting back to the pub in the only way we can - in the worst possible weather. 

As beer gardens opened across the city, so did the heavens as Glasgow's most intrepid drinkers braved the wash-out weather for a precious pint.

Some beer gardens are impressive structures, resembling small forts rather than just a bit of tarp over a frame. 

But this set-up is more impressive for its determination more than anything. 

Drinkers were huddled under a collection of green umbrellas outside the historic Tolbooth bar in the Saltmarket.

The famous boozer only has a small outdoor space for drinking alcohol - which is the only place you can enjoy a pint under relaxed lockdown rules. 

But that didn't put off these loyal customers and the internet has gone mad for the viral photo. 

One person took to social media to say: "Never change Glasgow."

Another said: "Passed them today, made me laugh. Determined tae stay there."

Another wrote: "10 outta 10 for no geeing in."

The Tolbooth Bar was approached for comment.
