Rangers commercial and marketing director James Bisgrove today welcomed a new three year sponsorship agreement with BioWaveGO.

The pioneering pain relief device, which is set to be launched to the public in the United Kingdom next week, will become the shirt sponsor for the Ibrox club’s women’s team next season.

The brand will also feature on selected men’s team training and match kits as well as at the stadium and will be used as a treatment option by club physios.

Bisgrove said: “We’re proud to welcome BioWaveGO as an official club partner and the new main partner for Rangers women’s team in a multi-year agreement.

“Rangers is entering an exciting period in the clubs illustrious 150-year history, and we are thrilled to partner with an organisation with the health and wellbeing of our players, but also our loyal fanbase, at the heart of its strategy.

"It’s an exciting time for commercial partners to be involved with the Rangers women’s team, who are challenging for the SWPL title, in their first season as a professional side and with a profile that is growing rapidly”.

Rangers women and girls football manager Amy McDonald said: “Having seen the positive impact BioWaveGO has had with other elite sports teams here and in the US, we can’t wait to start using BioWaveGO as part of the drug-free pain relief, rehab and recovery for our first team as we kick off the next season.”

BioWaveGO hope their pocket-sized pain-relief device will revolutionise the way footballers and fans treat pain.

The technology uses high-frequency electrical signals to target pain at its source by blocking pain signals at the nerve and tackling pain without the need for medication.

Steve Dechan - the founder of Platform 14, who have a stake in Biowave Inc. USA, and the man responsible for bringing the device to the UK – is hopeful the agreement will help to contribute to Rangers’ on-field success.

“We're absolutely thrilled to be partnering up with Rangers in what is an incredible year for the club,” said Dechan, who is a Glasgow native as well as a fan of the Ibrox club.

“Our devices have been proven to reduce pain and aid recovery and we hope that, off the back of a fantastic season in 2020/21, we’ll be a vital part of Rangers women’s and men’s team success as they push on next season.

“Beyond that, BioWaveGO finally offers a drug-free alternative to help football fans take back control of their pain management without the need for drugs.

“We believe this partnership demonstrates that Rangers keep its fans at the forefront of their minds and hope that Gers fans will be among some of the first in the country to benefit from our technology.”

Athlete and three-time Olympic gold medallist Tianna Bartoletta, PGA Tour winner Rocco Mediate, and NFL linebacker Nate Stupar all use the device in the United States.

BioWaveGO has also been selected as a supplier for the Scottish national team, who will be trialling the technology at the Euro 2020 finals this summer.

BioWaveGO’s believe the device can be used by both professional and amateur athletes to treat pain, facilitate motion and accelerate rehabilitation and recovery. They claim a single 30 minute treatment decreases stiffness, increases motion and reduces muscle spasm.
