A HOLLYWOOD star was spotted in a Glasgow scheme today filming a new series based on an Irvine Welsh book.
Desperate Housewives and Mission Impossible:2 star Dougray Scott was captured on camera in the Wyndford today, which is being used as a location for the upcoming Britbox series Crime.

Dougray, who has appeared on our screens for over 30 years, stars in the Trainspotting author's first TV show.
A sequel to the James McAvoy-starring Filth, Crime follows the story of Ray, a police officer recovering from a mental breakdown.

Directed by James Strong, the show will feature Dougray in the lead role, with support from Coronation Star and Angela Griffin, Joanna Vanderham and Jamie Sives.
It is the first time Edinburgh-born Welsh's work has been adapted for the small screen.

He has previously enjoyed success with film versions of his gritty dramas Trainspotting, Porno (remade as T2: Trainspotting) and Filth.
The Maryhill scheme has been taken over by film crews who are expected to stay there until tonight.

The show is expected to debut on the streaming service Britbox later this year and is produced by Buccaneer Media and Off The Grid Film and TV.
