POLICE raced to a quiet Cardonald street earlier this morning after a gun was found inside a house.
The weapon was discovered on Barfillan Drive, just off Paisley Road West, around 10.15am.
It's not yet known how the firearm ended up at the property, however, Police Scotland confirmed an investigation was underway to determine the circumstances.

An eyewitness reported a "handful" of police cars remained on the scene at around 11am.
The gun has been safely removed from the house.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “We can confirm that a firearm was found within a property in Barfillan Drive in Glasgow at around 10.15am.

"It was safely recovered and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
