A HOUSING association has been granted permission to build 47 homes near Darnley.
Glasgow City Council has approved Glen Oaks Housing Association’s application to develop a vacant site to the west of Darnley Path and Kennisholm Avenue.
The homes will be “predominately semi-detached/terraced housing and cottage flats,” the plans stated. There will be two larger, three-storey houses.
“With only one point of access and exit from Kennisholm Avenue, a cul-de-sac solution is required,” the application added.
“The triangular nature of the site is utilised by creating a main landscaped focal point that will be overlooked by the adjacent houses.
“This central area would serve as an important amenity space and contain a toddler play area.”
The site is located between Kennisholm Avenue and the railway line in Arden.
