A POPULAR park has become the latest location to see a public tap to refill water bottles.
Dog walkers and runners alike can now visit Scottish Water’s 40th “top up tap” at Drumpellier Park in Coatbridge.
It is hoped it will help visitors to reduce waste and save money.
11-month-old puppy Oscar was among the first to enjoy the new water point when it was installed and it is hoped more dog walkers will take advantage of it.
The move comes as part of Scottish Water’s Your Water Your Life campaign which encourages people to drink more tap water.
Lorna Neilson from Scottish Water said: “We continue to encourage everyone to top up from the tap with great-tasting Scottish Water, whether at home or on the go – it’s good for you, your pocket and the planet.”
