POLICE have confirmed that three people have been charged with "alleged public order offences" following protests in Pollokshields yesterday.

Two men, aged 32 and 31, and one woman, aged 23, were charged with the alleged offence after protesters gathered on Kenmure Street to stop an immigration raid by the Home Office.

The protest saw hundreds of locals come out in support of the two men detained as part of the raid.
