AN item was thrown off a bridge onto a travelling car on the M74 motorway damaging the vehicle's bonnet and windscreen.
Police are hunting for the person responsible for the incident which happened at around 11.40 pm on Sunday, May 16. They say it was culpable and reckless conduct.
A force spokesman said: "An item was thrown off a farm access bridge onto a moving vehicle below as it was travelling northbound on the M74 near to Junction 8, Larkhall.
"The item struck the vehicle, causing damage to the bonnet and windscreen.
"Luckily, no one was injured during this incident but it could've been far worse."
