NICOLA STURGEON has announced Glasgow will remain in level three lockdown restrictions for at least another week.
It comes after fears over rising levels of cases associated with the Indian variant driving cases in the South Side of the city.

Despite higher rates of the virus among the East Renfrewshire population, the neighbouring council area will remain under more relaxed restrictions.
The First Minister said that because of the lower numbers of cases in East Renfrewshire, the Government had taken the decision to keep the local authority in level two.
The SNP leader said that she "could not promise" the Glasgow lockdown would not be longer than one week but said it would be reviewed in seven days.

There are now 212 people with Covid in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board area, the First Minister confirmed, and 442 cases have been recorded across the country.
There have been no deaths as a result of the virus recorded in Scotland in the past 24 hours.
New cases have risen in Glasgow by 25 per cent, the SNP leader added.
Moray will move down to level two restrictions from midnight tonight due to a dramatic fall in the number of cases there. It was previously the only other area in Scotland in tougher restrictions.
There were 81 people in hospital on Thursday with recently confirmed Covid-19, down two from the previous day, and of these four people were in intensive care, down one from the day before.
So far 3,082,251 people have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination.
