RANGERS fans have netted a first glimpse at what the new Edmiston House will look like - with the club dubbing it a "world class" space.

The Light Blues have released a video offering supporters an exciting peak behind the scenes of the major development, which will see the existing unit replaced by a two-storey multi-use venue, with shops, a café and sheltered fan zone.

Rangers bosses say the overhaul, to the east of Ibrox Stadium, will be a “major milestone” in their 150th anniversary year in 2022.

A statement read: "Rangers Football Club is pushing forward into our 150th year as invincible champions and are gearing up to mark this phenomenal milestone with a series of landmark events.

"The biggest of these will be the opening of New Edmiston House, an incredible, state-of-the-art facility which will host a long-awaited club museum, a new two-storey Rangers Store and a fantastic events space for use on matchdays and beyond, thus enhancing the experience for supporters when they visit Ibrox at games and increasing footfall on the Ibrox campus on a daily basis.

"It will be a truly world-class space, not just for Rangers, but for the local community and the City of Glasgow, with the event space being capable of hosting conferences, gigs, awards ceremonies and other similar occasions."

Fans, who recently celebrated the club's first major league triumph for a decade, are also being offered the chance to sign up for a number of "unique benefits", including a welcome pack and opportunity to visit the Rangers museum.
