A PARKHEAD supermarket has won its bid to install a “Click & Collect” hub.
Asda, in the Forge, has been given the greenlight to open the canopy in the shop’s carpark.
Planning bosses approved the firm’s proposals during a meeting last week.
In documents submitted to the council, Asda chiefs previously wrote: “The application proposes the formation of a ‘Click & Collect’ facility including a canopy in close proximity to the public entrance to the Asda store.
“The site is in the customer carpark.”
A case officer wrote: “The proposed Click & Collect facility will be very much in keeping with the functional appearance of the Asda superstore and there are no concerns that it will have a detrimental impact on the appearance of the Asda store.
“The siting of the facility in the customer carpark is logical and is not deemed to be inharmonious.”
