TWO young men who had been booted out of a lockdown party were caught by cops acting suspiciously in the street.

Ryan Blair and Aaron Clarke were spotted loitering on Dunnottar Street in Ruchazie around 3.30am by police officers.

When approached, cops noticed the two men had glazed eyes, appeared under the influence of a substance and there was a smell of cannabis.

They were recognised as having been removed from a neighbouring address where there had been a house party

When officers approached the accused during the incident on July 30 last year, they were talking very fast and swearing.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard a struggle broke out as Blair, 21, was tensing his arms and resisting arrest.

Clarke, 20, then started grabbing at Blair's trousers and saying "Bottom right pocket" as if instructing him to remove an item from the pocket.

Clarke also resisted officers, the court was told, as both continued to struggle and shout and swear.

They were taken to Cathcart police office.

Separately, around 12.30pm on November 4, 2020, Blair went to his place of work in Cambuslang and struck his manager on the side of the face, saying "That's what you f****** get".

The victim was left with a small cut to the side of his mouth, which was bleeding.

Blair's defence brief told the court he lives with his mother and step father and has a two-year-old daughter over whom he is in a contact dispute.

Sheriff Paul Brown said to Blair: "Charge four in particular is serious but I note your personal circumstances and your age and what you have said."

Blair was placed on a community payback order with supervision for 12 months and must carry out 130 hours of unpaid work.

Clark's sentence was deferred for six months for him to be of good behaviour.
