A POPULAR beer garden has been forced to close after one staff member tested positive for coronavirus.

Glasgow Beer Works on Osborne Street in the city centre announced the closure on their Instagram today.

It is understood other staff members who were in close contact will also be self-isolating and following NHS testing guidelines.

All bookings for today have been cancelled and any deposits paid have been refunded.

The venue will receive a deep clean and customers who have been to the premises may be contacted if they were in close contact with the staff member.

The garden will re-open tomorrow with staff who were not on shift with the affected colleague.

The venue said: "We're disappointed not to be pouring pints today but we will be excited to welcome you back later this weekend and we thank you for your understanding."
