A teenage boy has tragically died after he was recovered from a river in Renfrewshire.
Officers responded to the scene on the River Gryffe near to Auchans Farm at around 6.50pm on Wednesday.
The boy was pulled from the water and taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow where he was in a critical condition.
Enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were made aware of a teenage boy in the River Gryffe near to Auchans Farm around 6.50pm on Wednesday, June 2.
"The boy was recovered from the water and was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow where he died on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
