A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Renfrew last night.
Officers were called to the scene on Ferguson Street at around 5.45pm.
The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley for treatment and later released.
The force confirmed enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 5.45pm on Saturday, June 5 officers were called to a report of a man assaulted in Ferguson Street, Renfrew.
"Officers attended and he was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley where he was treated and released.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
