DJ George Bowie has released a long-awaited remix of 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' in time for Scotland's kick-off in the European Championships later this week.

The legendary GBX DJ has remixed the Baccara hit after it became an anthem for the Tartan Army following Scotland's qualification to the tournament.

George has even teamed up with the band to produce the new championship song.

He said: “The idea came about after we qualified for The Euros, it wasn't so much an idea more a case of everyone saying 'You better be doing this!'

"It was very exciting watching it all unfold, although it has cost a lot of time and money to pull it all together, but none of that matters."

Yes Sir, I Can Boogie by Baccara shot up the charts after Scotland defeated Isreal in a tense penalty shootout to reach their first major tournament in 23 years.

George said: "This is Scottish sporting history unfolding right before our eyes and to be involved, with many other incredible artists, supplying the soundtrack well that is the sort of thing dreams are made of.

"Footballers dream of playing at the tournaments, we dream of them running out to our tunes.

“It's a song to dance about to and celebrate when we get a result at the Euros and to put on your playlists building up to the games and at the party afterwards. But hopefully, it can be much bigger than that and be the soundtrack to an amazing summer.

"It's such a summer anthem vibe, just gutted we can't drop it in Ibiza this year.

“Enjoy the summer. Enjoy The Euros. Let's have a boogie and a party and most importantly - C'Mon Scotland!”
