POLICE closed down a city centre road in the early hours of this morning due to broken glass.
Motorists travelling through Union Street would have been asked to follow a police diversion as a result of the move.
The road was closed between Gordon Street and Argyle Street to remove the broken glass.

Glasgow City Council Traffic Control and Management said just after midnight: "Union Street is closed between Gordon Street and Argyle Street due to broken glass on the road.
"The road will remain closed until the glass can be cleared."
