A WOMAN who was diagnosed with cancer just three months after getting married is getting ready to put her best foot forward for charity.
Jennifer Ferguson will be taking part in a nationwide walk this weekend to thank staff at Maggie's Glasgow for their help following her diagnosis, which "turned her life upside down".
Jennifer, from Glasgow, was just 30 and not long wed to new husband Craig when it was discovered she had breast cancer. During her treatment, she has been supported by the Gartnavel Hospital-based hub.

Jennifer said: “Being diagnosed at 30 with breast cancer, only three months after my wedding to Craig, was a total shock and turned our lives upside down.
"The first day in oncology, I was told about the Maggie’s Glasgow and contacted them almost immediately.
“Ever since, I have been blown away with the friendly staff, number of services available and the lovely space where everyone is welcome."
Maggie’s Glasgow is encouraging people to walk a 5k (3.1 miles) on either June 12 or 13 and take part in Together We Walk in celebration, reflection or love to help people with cancer following a difficult year.
“I knew I wanted to help raise funds, so along with Craig and my family, I am are taking part in Together We Walk to do just that, in the hope that people like me can continue to benefit from such an incredible charity," Jennifer added.
During the course of the last year the charity has been supporting thousands of people who have been impacted negatively by coronavirus.
Maggie’s Glasgow centre head, Kerry Craig, said: “Maggie’s teams across the country have been there for people with cancer and their families during the most difficult of times.
"We’ve created ‘Together We Walk’ as a way of bringing people together to celebrate and reflect.

"The therapeutic nature of walking and feeling part of a community cannot be measured.
"And if people felt like raising some funds to help us continue to be there for people with cancer we’d be most grateful.”
