A MAN who stole items from two different cars and smashed a window of one has avoided jail.
Mark Edgar stole an electronic device and a jacket from vehicles on Kirkland Street, North Kelvinside, on May 13 this year.
At Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, the prosecutor said the items were recovered.
The 44-year-old was also charged with entering a Tesco supermarket after he had been ordered not to as part of bail conditions.
He walked into the Maryhill Road store on January 11.
His defence solicitor said: “He has been engaging well with addiction services. He is conscious given his record that you are considering sending him to prison. I am asking you to refrain from doing so.”
Edgar, of Maryhill, was ordered to stay within his home address between 7pm-7am for six months.
