FOUR East End properties are set to undergo a transformation to protect them from the Glasgow weather.
As part of an £80,000 investment, Wellhouse Housing Association has removed verandas from four properties and added a pitched roof after tenants complained of ongoing issues with leaks.
The housing provider had tried to remedy on several occasions but this caused too much disruption. Instead, after consulting with tenants, the association decided to fully demolish the verandas and rebuild the facade as well as putting in new double glazing.
Chair of Wellhouse Housing Association, Darron Brown, said: “We always strive to provide the best living experiences for our residents so implementing the work on the four homes was the next logical step to ensure a great living environment. Community involvement is key, so it was great hear how pleased the tenants are with the results.”
