Rangers will host Celtic in the first derby day of the coming season - four fixtures in.

The Premiership fixtures were announced this morning ahead of the new campaign.

Ange Postecoglou will get his first taste of derby day on Saturday, August 28 at Ibrox.

Celtic will then play host to their rivals in the New Year derby on January 2.

The champions, Rangers meanwhile, kick-start their efforts to retain the title at home to Livingston on the opening day on July 31 in a 1.30pm kick-off time.

Celts open their season with a tough start away to newly promoted Hearts the following evening in an 8pm kick-off time.

Dundee, just promoted through the play-offs, face St Mirren in their opener while Ross County v St. Johnstone, Aberdeen v Dundee United and Motherwell v Hibernian make up the rest of the opening fixtures.

Some matches are yet to be confirmed for Sky Sports so there will likely be changes made throughout the season.
