A MAN was intentionally hit by a car in an attempted murder incident in Castlemilk last weekend.  

The 36-year-old was intentionally hit by a grey-blue SUV on Dunagoil Road at around 8.30pm on Sunday June, 13. 

The car fled the scene and drove in the direction of Ardencraig Road.

The victim was transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and was later discharged. 

Police have now launched an appeal for information on the incident.

Detective Constable Fiona McIlloney, from Greater Glasgow Division CID, said: “We are asking for anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident, who may have witnessed anything or has potential dashcam footage, to please come forward.

"We’re also keen to hear from anyone with information on the incident or the suspect vehicle.
