A FUNDRAISER has been launched to help pay for the damage caused by cruel vandals at a primary school.
We previously reported that pupils at Carleith Primary and Early Learning and Childcare Centre in Clydebank were left unable to use their playground after it was destroyed earlier this month.
The school's parent hub has since launched an appeal to help restore the area.
Items including a car, a water table, planterns, benches, chalk board, and a boat were all wrecked - with around £5000 worth of damge caused.
Most of the equipment was only around 10 weeks old and were used by both the primary school children and the children attending the nursery.

In a statement on the Just Giving page, the parent hub wrote: "As parents of children within the school we are horrified that this has happened.
"We have waited such a long time for improvements to the playground in our wee school, and the children absolutely loved the new items.
"We would love to give the children back what they deserve. To do this we are hoping that our friends, family and local community will pull together and help us raise these much needed funds.
"Any money raised would be used towards the repair and replacement of the equipment and for any increase in security requirements in the hope that this does not happen again.
"Any donations big or small will be greatly received."
